Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: The Ghibli films are so often love letters to craftsmanship and working people. The Mokuhankan woodblock prints would reflect the spirit of these narratives better than any other merchandise.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:

Having Ghibli-movies-related woodblock print motives would be extremely popular and beneficial for both Mokuhankan and Ghibli. Not to mention that the art born out of this collaboration would be amazing and a thing to behold!

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: Ever since I was a child, the magic of Studio Ghibli has been an inspiration and light in my life. I would love to have a traditional Japanese Woodblock print to display in my home, to spark conversation and interest among friends and family, many of whom are unfamiliar with this work!

This would be fantastic. It's a shame it hasn't happened yet.

It is a natural fit.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:

I sincerely believe there can be mutual benefit for not only both parties in this undertaking - but also to the communities of both mokuhanga and fans of Studio Ghibli works. In the end, if this brings into being original works the further the brand of Ghibli in a positive light - so much the better for all, right?

Thank you for both parties works, - Barbara and Ted

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: Craftsmanship must be passed on in traditional forms, so it may continue to inform and inspire contemporary media. You have a debt to the arts of the past and a repsonsibility to give back.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: David Bull's proposal is the most sincere and earnest request for what I consider a rescue mission of art. As an artist, I believe that the preservation of art to be of equal importance as national sovereignty.

Please consider this request from David Bull, not as a request for money, nor a move to distort the beauty of Ghibli art/characters; but a plea to conserve and restore something of great beauty and unmeasurable value; artistic self expression.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: David Bull and the Mokuhankan put a lot of heart into their work, and do plenty of research to respect the original source. This is a fantastic way to continue the struggling Ukiyo-e business. I do hope you'll say yes!!

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: Having your artwork done in a traditional Japanese way is the only way to enjoy it outside of the films. This would bring so much joy to so many.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: Especially for adult fans of Ghibli (like me), this is a valuable and worthy way of keeping the Ghibli characters around you at home or even the office.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:

Owning a hand carved and printed image is a memorial to designers, carvers, printers and all those countless un-named skilled individuals who have made the beautiful man-made wonders of history. The people who create these images, like all craftsmen are artists in the service of their religion, their master, their tribe, their tradition.

When this product of love and passion is paired with works from Ghibli you not only have a somewhat of a sacred or luxury object you also have a tangible reminder of something you love or have a treasured memory of; be this Totoro waiting in the rain or Haku being chased by paper cranes.

Ghibli prints could truly be a treasured possession.
