Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: As a family of Studio Ghibli fans, we would LOVE to be able to collect prints of some of our favorite movies. I appreciate that these prints are done in a traditional Japanese style, and that they are seeking to have them officially licensed, rather than just making them & selling them without permission.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:

I've been following David Bull's work for quite some time, and the quality of work he and his studio produce are real works of art, worthy of putting Ghibli designs to paper lasting for hundreds of years!

I have been a fan of the artistry of Studio Ghibli for over two decades now and I was very sorry to hear that Mr. David Bull was not given the opportunity to present his outstanding wood cuts to the staff of Studio Ghibli for the purpose of obtaining licensing permission to create wood cuts of some of our beloved Ghibli characters. Mokuhankan wood cuts are works of art in their own right and would represent the artistry of Ghibli in its best light. Please consider granting licensing permission to Mokuhankan. I am certain all would benefit greatly from this agreement.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: As you can see from this sample, David Bull creates a beautiful, high quality product. As a fan of both Ghibli movies and Japanese woodblock printing it would be fantastic to be able to own works that not only portrayed characters that I love, but also in a medium that I love.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:

I have been a subscription subscriber with Mokuhankan (Ukiyo-e Hereos) for years and I love the work of Dave Bull and Jed Henry. The prints are exquisite and expertly done. The prints are always very carefully packaged to protect the artwork. I live in the U.S. But I visit Japan as much as I can and I've visited the Mokuhankan shop. Their shop in Asakusa is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and kind. I think they would be the perfect choice to bring the characters of Studio Gihbli alive in the form of ukiyo-e. I am also a huge fan of Miyazaki's work. His characters are known worldwide. Princess Mononoke, Totoro, and Nausicaa are my favorites. I would love to see these artists team up to bring these beautiful prints to fans like me. Studio Ghibli, please say yes!!!!

In a world where I can buy Totoro's image on any number of cheap, mass produced goods, I see no reason to withhold support from a project that honors the painstaking craftsmanship of Studio Ghibli's creative visionaries and the hardworking men and women that bring their visions to life. Please, Studio Ghibli: say yes!

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: These prints are a wonderful way to commemorate pieces of entertainment history. The prints made by Jed Henry and David Bull are beautiful from technique to color usage and stylisation to match traditional ukiyo-e woodblock prints.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: Because Laputa was the first anime I ever watched, and it sparked a life long love, not only of studio Ghibli's work, but of Japanese culture. As I write this, I lay in bed,in Tokyo, enjoying my Honeymoon with my wife.

David Bull and co., have already produced wonderful works, and the prospect of being able to own one of their wood block prints celebrating Ghibli's wonderful work across the years is very exciting.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:Japanese woodblock prints are a big piece of Japan's history. Back in the edo period prints were used as a medium to spread news or art. So I think that having woodblock prints would help show people an important part of Japanese culture. So please allow the mokuhankan to create woodblock prints of ghibli characters.
