Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:the art done will only serve to spread the word of how great your movies are and the art itself pays true homage to Studio Ghibli and all the wonderful things you've done.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:

I have purchased several prints from the Ukiyo-e Heroes series based on videogame characters. David Bull is a phenomenal artist, and his works mix Japanese tradition with modern mythologies. Atmosphere breathes through these works. I have also met him in person, and his kindness and generosity are as much a treasure as his art.

Just as David Bull can make videogames come to life in Medieval Japan, so, too can his works bring to this traditional medium the strength and watercolor roots of Ghibli's and Miyazaki's films.

Please let this project become a reality.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:

The people at Mokuhankan workshop have an immense respect for Japanese culture and tradition, and a profound love of your works, as do most of your fans. Allowing them to produce these beautiful works of art would give your fans the opportunity to show their love both of Japanese culture and your many fantastic works. Furthermore, you'd be supporting the preservation of a beautiful form of art that, in many ways, influenced the development and appreciation of illustrated media such as those you produce.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: because all of the work done so far has been absolutely amazing and beautiful, and I'm sure in saying yes you'd be helping create something amazing, and gain from it yourselves! I see no real reason not to go ahead with this.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: ukiyoe heroes is my absolute favorite artist. Not only does he respect the art form of Japanese wood print, but he respects each and every one of his fans. I've had many conversations with him about his art and his inspirations at the cons where I've bought his art. No person would treat the Ghibli name with more respect and integrity than him. So please allow him to make licensed Ghibli art!

this is the perfect way to give tribute to ghiblis iconic work. So perfectly blends the grassroots and traditional tones that Miyazaki set himself in his works

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: Woodblock printing is a beautiful art that doesn't get as much exposure as it should. I have one of the prints made by these artists hanging in my house, and when I look at it, I am reminded of the value of keeping the traditional art-making techniques alive.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: Mohuhankan is dedicated to creating Ukiyoe that is both beautiful and culturally relevant to the times. In the past, Ukiyoe artists depicted scenes in nature, Tokaido and famous individuals. Now, younger generations related to video game characters, nostalgia and anime. These artists would lovingly depict Ghibli scenes and characters that would be appreciated by young and old alike.
