Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:

Printer David Bull respects and appreciates the true Japanese spirit of Ghibli Studio works, and sees his proposed print project as a way to showcase the unique Japanese artform of traditional woodblock print with iconic Ghibli Studio characters. Allowing Mr. Bull to proceed will create a fine art interpretation of these popular works, and heighten the appreciation for truly Japanese art.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: Ghibli's animation and art style is the quintessential Japanese animation - vibrant, imaginative, and beautiful. It's hard to imagine another medium capturing the unique feeling of Ghibli's art than traditional Japanese woodblock print (after cinema of course!). What better way to keep spreading the joy of both Ghibli films and the art of woodblock prints.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: I love to expose my children to well made, handmade art. They love Studio Ghibli works (when my daughter was 2, she gave us a summary of My Neighbor Totoro starting with "Mei ran." Printmaking also happens to be my newest hobby, so being able to study works by a master in a theme my family already loves would be amazing. Please say yes!

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: I've grown up on Ghibli films and have always felt refreshed/happy/sad and inspired after each viewing. Now when I think Ghibli I feel nostalgia - something that Dave Bull and his team also create with their woodblock prints. My grandmother has gifted me Japanese woodblock prints over the years. They are now some of my most prized possessions and I consider them artifacts. I think it would be amazing for Dave Bull to be able to create modern artifacts in the form of woodblock prints featuring art from animation and stories that are loved by so many. I hope this reaches you well - the people would sure be happy :)

I couldn't think of anything better for merchandising for studio ghibli, its tradition, respectful, and absolutely beautiful. I would have thought Miyuzaki himself would be proud to have prints like these for sale.
