Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:

Allowing this artist access to the Ghibli character repertoire would be amazing and good. Not only would it be encouraging the the survival of the dying form of wood blocking, it also will provide homage to the worlds most favorite stories! <3

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: The woodblock prints being made by Mr. Bull embody many of the same themes your movies do; tradition, appreciation of nature, the supernatural, etc. Both Studio Ghibli and Mokuhankan could benefit greatly from a collaboration. I can't imagine anyone that would show more respect for the original works than Mr. Bull.

Dave is an experiencd craftsman, who will not tarnish the brand name. The artwork in toro toro and other films is stunning and could be perpetually ingrained in popular culture if some of the scenes were made into woodblock print.

Ukiyo-e is a style not well known in America, at least by name. The video game prints have left an impression on all my friends and coworkers and now they know the words "ukiyo-e."

Studio Ghibli's works have been a window into Japan's cultural soul, as well as its past. I will forever be grateful to them for 耳をすませば, おもひでぽろぽろ and もののけ姫.

I think that woodblock prints of their gorgeous background designs would be a perfect fit.

Please say yes!

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: Ghibli's artwork is the most perfect and ideal source material for a series of woodblock prints I can possibly think of. It would be the most beautiful combination of traditional printing and modern animation from Japan that could only benefit both mediums. To say the least, the project would generate so much interest and support from buyer's around the world, including myself, that it would be overwhelming! Please take a look at the work coming from David Bull's incredible studio and his very talented craftspeople and trust that only they could make a series of gorgeous Ghibli woodblock prints a reality! Arigatou!
